Dr. Katherine Besselman is a St. Charles, Missouri native who began treating patients in private practice in July of 2018.

After graduating from St. Charles High School, she received her undergraduate education at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri where she majored in Biology. While working towards her undergraduate degree and planning for a future in the medical field, Katherine carefully considered the options and decided to pursue a career in podiatric medicine and surgery (the specialized treatment of foot and ankle conditions on patients of all ages). With a history of outstanding academic performance, Katherine was accepted to her first choice of medical schools and spent the next four years earning a Doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Following a much deserved “white coat ceremony” she went on to complete a three-year foot and ankle surgical residency at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri in June of 2018.

Dr. Besselman is trained to perform the latest techniques in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, is an active member and associate of The American Podiatric Medical and Missouri Podiatric Medical Associations and is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She is on staff at Mid Rivers Ambulatory Surgery Center, SSM St. Joseph Hospital – St. Charles, and SSM St. Joseph Hospital West – Lake St. Louis.

Dr. Besselman thoroughly enjoys living and practicing in her hometown where she strives to positively impact the health and lives of those in her community for years to come.
